The Centre for New Students (CNS) works to ease the transition for first year students into University. CNS runs numerous programs to meet the diverse needs of incoming students, including support and advising, the provision of resources and great events! These include STARTonline, Orientation Week, Off Campus Connection, Back on Track, Bounce Back and Momentum.
The Office of Intercultural Affairs (OIA) works to foster an environment of cultural competency and diversity. This includes working with both students with racialized backgrounds and also with undergraduate and graduate International students. OIA provides both academic and co-curricular programming for students.
Leadership and Community Engagement (LCE) fosters leadership, community engagement and social change through meaningful learning experiences. LCE encourages students to collaborate and engage with the wider community to deepen their learning and understandings. LCE runs Project Serve Guelph and Project Serve Canada (volunteer opportunities), the Peer Helper Program, Vote! and more!
Off Campus Living (OCL) provides support to students living off-campus as well as community members. OCL supports students in finding off-campus housing, knowing their rights as tenants and can even offer mediation in tenant-landlord conflicts. OCL works with communities with high volumes of students to ensure that all needs are met.
The Aboriginal Resource Centre (ARC) provides a supportive atmosphere for all Aboriginal students and the community. This includes advising and support, transitional programs, academic support, cultural workshops and more!
