What is a GO Student ID?
A GO Student ID card offers student discounts of approximately 10% to 30% on adult 10-ride ticket prices and adult monthly passes. You can not get a student discount without this FREE card.
Who is eligible?
Full-time students who are currently registered.
How do I apply for my GO Student ID?
Full-time students registered can submit a request for the GO Transit Student Identification Card through WebAdvisor.
What do I do if WebAdvisor is not recognizing my full-time student status?
If you are a student with a permanent disability, contact your advisor with the Centre for Students with Disabilities for more informaton on how to access your GO Student ID.
Otherwise, contact Student Client Services.
When can I pick up my GO Student ID?
If you submit your request during a business day, your GO Transit Student ID will generally be ready for pick-up the next business day after 10:00 am at the Information Desk on level 1 of the University Centre (UC). Students will need to show PHOTO IDENTIFICATION to pick up the GO Student ID. The Information Desk is open on class days during the Fall and Winter semesters from 8:45 to 4:00 pm (located on level 1 of the UC), exam hours and summer hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Please note: during peak periods in the semester, it may take 2 business days before your GO Transit Student ID Card is available for pick up at the Information Desk.
How much does a GO Student ID cost?
A GO Student ID is free. You only need to be a currently registered full-time student to request the ID through WebAdvisor.
When does my GO Student ID expire?
Passes are valid from September to April or May to August, depending on the semesters that you are registered as a full-time student.
What happens if I lose or ruin my GO Student ID?
If you lose or ruin your GO Student ID, you will need to complete an application form and take it to Union Station in Toronto to get a replacement ID. Application forms are available at the Information Desk (located on level 1 of the UC).
