YoU in Guelph

"YoU in Guelph" is an exciting new  Student Life initiative to help connect students with the needs of lower income local neighborhood groups in the community; it is an opportunity for students to share their skills and have fun while helping to serve in after-school programs, youth drop-ins, breakfast programs, food and clothing drives as their time allows.

If you, your friends, or your club would like to share some of your skills, whether they be in theatre, music, dance, traditional or cultural crafts, storytelling, homework completion, outdoor survival, sign language, or juggling ( to name a few...) with children or youth in local after school programs to help enrich their learning, we would be happy to facilitate the experience for you! Not only is it rewarding to spend time with children in the community  but they and the program staff are incredibly appreciative of your time. Currently You in Guelph is involved in various programs in the city and they are easily accessible by city bus.

Please contact us if you would be interested in helping out with a local program. You would be joined by other students who help facilitate YoU in Guelph to help teach a skill, play some games, or help with homework. There is no long term time commitment; it is up to you. Contact us at youin@uoguelph.ca or complete this form to tell us a bit about yourself and your interests.

Thank you for considering these possibilities! Please get in touch with us for more information; we would be delighted to help you get involved in a way that meets your needs and suits your schedule.
